All Beauty Roads Lead to HBA

Health & Beauty 2004 promises more exhibitors, more education for best-ever exhibition and conference.

BA Health & Beauty America 2004 is shaping up to be another record breaking event in the 12-year history of the beauty industry’s largest exhibition in North America.

Running Sept. 28 to 30 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, HBA 2004 will bring together the movers and shakers in today’s cosmetic, fragrance and personal care industry to see the very latest in private label, contract manufacturing, raw materials and ingredients, POP displays and packaging.

The keynote address this year will be delivered at 9:00 a.m. by Charles B. Strauss, the recently retired president and chief executive of Unilever United States and director of Unilever plc and chairman of its North America Committee.

Responsible for mega-brands such as Dove, Lux, Pond’s and Suave, Strauss built a reputation as a high-energy business innovator and leader in strategic brand development during his 18 years at Unilever.

Strauss has also served as vice chairman of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CTFA) and as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Mass Retail Association (IMRA). He earned an MBA from Columbia Business School with a major in marketing.
